We stayed at a campsite run by an old German woman who left Europe 20 years ago with all her possessions in a container, she traveled on the cargo ship at a huge extra cost so that she could travel with her dog.. But the dog had no sea legs and was very ill for all the four weeks, but she came to SA having never been here before and set up a campsite. It is a work of art and she named it Amber lagoon after the ship she came on here.<\/div>\n

We visited Oudstdoorn which is a big ostrich farming area, but as Milly hates birds and especially big 6 foot birds we headed for the crocodiles and more.
It was very good a lot better than we expected

look at the teeth, and they are herbivores, but it’s no wonder they are the biggest killers in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the restaurant, they had some unusual choices of meat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milly had the real crocodile bites and I tried the ostrich..I reckon I won, the croc was horrible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the croc was like a soggy wet sponge but with less taste.🤢<\/p>\n\n\n\n

chips in South Africa are terrible, they are a damp warm strip of potato that has barely seen the hot fat, we wondered if it was just a rubbish restaurant, but it turns out that’s how they have them. 😕 <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
