want to use the oem speedo sensor on your land rover with your Terratrip?
Then this £1.00 circuit will do it and still let the OE speedo work
It’s this simple, we fit it just before the 12 way plug, this should work for the later Trips, just make sure the Collector of the transistor goes to the common for the sensors and the emitter goes to the+ of the probe.
Hi, I’m installing your sugestion in a Range Rover Classic with a Borg Warner transfer box wich have the same output sensor. My question is about the scheme you’ve draw with the transistor and a resistor. The drawing color codes are the ones for the 10lk Ohm unit or is there any other specification I must follow? try 10k as per the image,
its a long time ago since I did this , I cant remember the true value,
these are all you need to make it work
