Hello guys and I’m happy to say i’m back with a new rant, its not Tuesday but who really cares? This is based on something that happened to me /my parents over the last week at a show centre and has recently happened to others too. ( The show centre will not be named , the BS have been informed on the situation. )

So starting off the day sadly without our bridle as we had forgotten it and decided we wouldn’t make the class if we turned home to go get it so we asked a friend to borrow one. The first class ‘WAS MENT’ to start at 9am prompt so we arrived at 9.15am for the second class only to get there and them tell us the first class was starting at 9:30am. Was this posted online (FB/ TWITTER) or on the website??? NO IT BLOODY WASN’T. Nothing is more annoying than judges not turning up on time and then wondering around like lost dogs and then the jumping didn’t even start till about 10am. Which ment we could of gone home and got our bridle… even more annoying.

Ok so after this we then waited and waited for the 16 riders to jump in the 80cm which took around 2 hours to do, how ? i’ll tell you how, allowing children to do the collecting ring board and the gate which was about useful as a duck. After a long stressful wait for both me and the horse they then started the 85cm at probably 12:30, it then took another 10 minutes after the course walk to start the class. Looking across to the other ring to what was ment to be a pony 90cm which was a mile smaller than the horse 85cm, it was almost like the course building never learned how to use a tape measure. I think a lot of people can agree with some show centres having a ‘bendy ruler’ for course building. To then top it off they then had a fuck up with the results , plus you could barely hear anything through the speaker which is normally the case when you want to listen to something.

Pushing nearly 5 hours of waiting to have only jumped one class we then decided to with draw from the next and go home for the horses sake, we then got spoken to by lady in the entries box like we were some sort of naughty children, it was disrespectful and rude. Nothing is worse than disrespectful staff after their cock ups, makes you feel like running a mile from the show centre. The show centre has lovely arenas but sadly with lack of organisation and respect from staff it really makes you wonder how many people will really tolerant it just for a jump around a course.

This rant isn’t naming any names of people involved or show arenas but clearly throwing my thoughts and other peoples thoughts out to be herd after all we all hate a show centre that drags the day out.
