On towards the coast of Tanzania.

On the edge of the Serengeti we met more Dutch and they had travelled a lot in Tanzania they said do visit the Serengeti but not now, it’s log jammed with tourists no animal sighting is free of a Toyota 4×4 and also due to clever tanzanain goverment going to cost us 1200 usd for one days visit… Maybe another time.
We travelled down past mount Kilimanjaro stuck in the traffic of a million Toyota safari 4×4’s full of white tourists in beige safari gear, we know the volcano was there because the GPS told us so, but the clouds had other ideas and we just had to drive on knowing we had witnessed the snow capped volcano in all it majestic form from the Kenya side. However we failed to take any photos when in Kenya because we where confident that the tiny amount off cloud obscuring the perfect view would dissapear soon and we would have a clear photo. Mother nature had other ideas and 20 mins later the volcano was covered in cloud ☁️… So what we always we said to ourselves had Tanzania for tbe money shot😒
not Kilimanjaro'

We got a fake speeding fine, annoyed tbe hell out of me, whats the bloody use of obeying speed limits if you still get stopped, may as well speed and enjoy the quicker trip. The tanzanian police are well known for it and many checkpoints are on iOverlander. That night we stayed on a amazing wildcamp with a epic sunset over the volcanos sunset over volcanos'

Tomorrow we get back to the sea 4000km drive but only 400km south of Mombassa 🙄
